That said, at least some of the information appears to have been Thus, most of the information in the book can be taken as canon-unless-contradicted. In some cases, this includes characters who never made it to the game in others this means you get information which contradicts what we eventually learn. A lot of the information provided in the tome comes from production documents, and much of it went on to be altered by the time the games were actually made.We also get copies of the texts seen in the Enclave in TLJ, including the one on the Silver Spear of Gorimon. While you won’t find a profile for, say, Horatio Nebevay, or specific people who didn’t go on to appear in Chapters, you’ll find quite a lot about, say, Baksheva. One big exception to this is everything regarding Arcadia and its races, of which quite a lot appears to date back to TLJ.That said, if you want to know about Dreamfall Chapters, you are set. While there are some parts that focus on the first and second games–a Crow and April comic, a segment called “April’s Story,” which recaps the relevant backstory of the original game–elements that don’t play out in Chapters, such as the Guardian, or characters like Charlie, are for the most part absent. First and foremost: This is not a guidebook for the entire The Longest Journey universe, but a Dreamfall Chapters guidebook, and thus, its areas of focus is largely centered on that game.For those who didn’t get to get it as a reward and are curious: ![]()
